Itinerary

Tour starts at 08:00 from our office in Tbilisi. The first thing we do is a walking tour in the downtown. Here guide tells about history of Georgia and Kutaisi. The tour covers central square, royal district of Kutaisi, Bazar and the oldest buildings of the city. At 13:00 we have a lunch break and then we drive to Tskaltubo to explore abandoned soviet sanatoriums. Firstly, we drive to Tskaltubo and visit Spring #6, where the guide tells about Soviet occupation. Afterwards we walk to the Spring #8 that has the most unusual architecture among Tskaltubo springs. The following place is the train station of Tskaltubo. The next stop is Sanatorium “Aia”, then the spring #5 and sanatorium “Savane”. After that we visit an old playground of Sanatorium “Gelati” and a beautiful viewpoint over the inner construction. After “Gelati” we go to the Sanatorium “Metalurgi” and drive to Kutaisi. The last activity of the tour is wine tasting in the local wine bar – Amber wine. Once we arrive there the host – Irakli tells us about the wines and other drinks in his bar. The table with glasses, wines and snacks is already settled up for us. We take seats and Irakli starts telling about the wine history, culture and winemaking techniques in Georgia. Then we start tasting wines one by one and doing food pairing with it. Once all 4 wines are over we finish with Chacha that is Georgian spirt drink and is made by grapes or wine distillation. The tour finishes at 22:00 in Tbilisi.
